About IKF 2023
The International Kindness Festival is the first of its kind global festival celebrating and discussing the Science, Politics, Ethics, Practicality and beauty of kindness! It's an opportunity to gather, learn, and grow together.
Our aim is to inspire conversations, expand perceptions of kindness and empower people with tools to create real impact at a Personal, Local and Global level.

What sets this festival apart?
IKF 2023 is all set to inspire and ignite impact-makers and change-makers.
Every participant will leave with tangible tools, ideas and inspiration on how to be a Kindness Ambassador themselves - thus creating infinite ripples of goodness wherever they go!
Special focus is placed on engaging the next generation to build a more empathetic society.
Influence the youth to make kindness, empathy, inclusion and acceptance an everyday thing. And also foster a culture of community, collaboration and awareness.
Each element of this festival aims to unpack the complexity of kindness and empathy.
Spearheaded by local and global thought-leaders to enable meaningful and real conversations.
The aim is to show that kindness can be fun and is accessible to one and all!
IKF 2023 is an entirely non-profit event that has been ideated, curated and executed by a very large team of volunteers!
The Festival, in fact, is a collaborative effort across a wide diaspora of local community-members!
Human values can be nurtured with camaraderie in experiential and tangible ways.
Our vision is creating kinder communities everywhere.
The 2nd edition of the International Kindness Festival is an effort to create an inclusive, diverse, accessible, wide-spread and community oriented event in Chennai. The festival experience will be spread across multiple venues throughout the city, in the months leading up to the main event at Sir Mutha Venkata Subba Rao Hall in Lady Andal School.

October 7th & 9th
Interaction with Stephen McGown
An inspiring and thought provoking interactive learning session with Al Qaeda’s longest held captive on the role of empathy & resilience as a survival skill.
October 28th
The Kindness Carnival
A fun-filled carnival spearheaded by our youth to celebrate different aspects of kindness through experiential stalls, other activities and conscious products.
November 18th
Book Launch for Young Authors
A unique opportunity for our youth to share a piece of their soul via written and/or artistic expression with an aim to unleash the most authentic version of themselves as a superpower and a form of kindness to self. Shortlisted entries will be able to publish books, participate in a formal book release event.
December 4th - 8th
IKF Festive Week Celebrations
An opportunity for schools, colleges, hotels, restaurants, play areas & other local businesses to participate in this community-wide initiative to celebrate kindness.
Mentorship Cells
Ongoing programs specifically curated to various beneficiaries - Students, Senior Citizens, Destitute Women, Boys / Youth & more.
December 9th & 10th
IKF Main Event at Lady Andal Hall
The focus will be on the prime agenda at the main hall via talks, interviews, panel discussions, Workshops interspersed with Short Films, Performances & Energisers.
Also on campus will be areas dedicated to Speakers Lounges, Networking Opportunities, Experiences, Mini Expo & more.
